Alert: Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for all of Berkshire County until midnight tonight.
Set-Up: Now our storm is off the coast near or passing Nantucket soon. It is rapidly strengthening and may produce a second storm behind it. This will keep it snowing here.
Timing: It is snowing lightly to possibly steadily for most. It should continue through this afternoon where it will slowly become snow showers. It all gradually ends tonight.
Snow: Widespread snow is expected. You can generally expect 3 to 6 inches. Maybe a few 7-inch spots in the southeasternmost part of Berkshire County. Also maybe some 2-inch spots in the northwesternmost part of Berkshire County.
Sleet: Not expected.
Freezing Rain: Not expected.
Peak Wind: 15 to 25 mph, with gusts to 45 mph.
Blowing Snow: Scattered to widespread blowing and drifting snow is expected.
Hazards Summary: It will be dangerous to travel. Whiteout conditions are possible. A power outage may occur.
