Welcome: Good afternoon. My dad and I went to see Jason Mraz perform with the Boston Pops last night at Tanglewood. The performance was spectacular. They synchronized so well. It was really cool that the Boston Pops were there. As my dad was telling me, John Williams used to be their conductor. I hope you are all ready for July 4th. Welcome: Good afternoon. Out on a walk yesterday I saw a very young rabbit. It looked very small and possibly was a baby. I enjoy seeing rabbits, frogs, lightning bugs, and the occasional deer. While driving yesterday, my dad saw a bear. He also saw a fox carrying a squirrel or chipmunk in its mouth. The animals are out now. I wonder what they think of the weather. They probably just carry on with their day...

Welcome: Good afternoon. Welcome July, it's nice to see you again. While my dad and I were in the car yesterday, it began raining so heavily. Our visibility became impaired. The road was covered in water. On the sides of the road, it seemed almost like a stream. A few twigs came down. It was not scary, it was incredible. Do not go into dangerous weather if you can avoid it. From a safe distance it is a fascinating spectacle to see the extreme of our nature...

Welcome: Good morning. Today could be a busy day for the weather. Severe thunderstorms will be possible. No matter the strength of a thunderstorm, all are dangerous. Lightning can kill, so please do not go outside if you hear thunder or see lightning. Our plants are growing well. My dad has been taking good care of the tomato plant. We have a garden in the front and a small section in the back. However, our biggest frustration are the deer and birds that enjoy eating them. Thank you dad for all that you do for me and for the family. You are my inspiration to help the world...

Welcome: Good morning. Being a weather forecaster is much like being a goalie is soccer. You either get it correct or you don't. There is a bit more leeway in the weather world, but the feeling is still the same. I try to get my posts as accurate as possible. I look at a variety of sources and use my own knowledge to develop the most likely outcome. I bring this up, because tomorrow some severe thunderstorms will be possible. Severe thunderstorms have always been challenging for me to predict. Usually, it is best to be cautious when forecasting the weather...

Welcome: Good morning. I was reading today that NOAA is predicting a busy hurricane season. According to them, there is an 85% chance for a hurricane season with above normal activity. You must remember that hurricanes are not the only threat in the summer. Tropical storms, tropical depressions, and severe thunderstorms all cause many problems. Extreme heat, drought, and even air quality are also becoming huge factors for our daily lives. However, today should feature none of these hazards. It will be a nice one, enjoy...

Welcome: Good afternoon. Sorry about the late post today. I am genuinely confused on what happened. Either I forgot to set my alarm or I slept through it or even turned it off and fell back to sleep. Either way, as the saying goes, better late than never. Today will be much cooler. In my opinion, tonight will feel like autumn temperatures. A nice break in the hot weather we have been facing. Welcome: Good morning. We continue today with part two of the Feiga and Ethel mystery. I am starting to believe the photos are of Ethel. The reasons being are that Ethel lived with a cousin named Bea. In the photos, Bea always appears next to the elderly woman, who we now assume to be Ethel. Furthermore, a cousin sent me a photo that she is certain to be of Ethel. The real mystery is was the confusion between the two cousins purposeful or accidental? That I don't know. What I do know is that it's time to talk about weather...

Welcome: Good morning. A long awaited question will be answered today. If you all recall, I took the PSAT in October. I believe the score I got was well. Either way, I am taking it again next school year, to prepare for the SAT senior year. A big family mystery involves some photos. To keep it simple some members claim an elderly woman to be Feiga, others say Ethel. The two women both exist. What adds to the mystery is someone close with Ethel claims her. While another cousin claims Ethel was not at her wedding, so it must be Feiga. We will have to see if the photos turn out to be Ethel or Feiga. Anywho, I like the old post format better for the weather…

Monday/June/24/2024
Intro: Greetings everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend. The weather has been busy this summer: Extreme heat, strong rain showers, and even some severe thunderstorms. I am here to tell you, it is just beginning. I wouldn’t be surprised if we get a tropical storm up here this year. In the meantime, I have had countless discoveries with long lost cousins, family mysteries being solved, and even the reunification of cousins. I chose to come back to Berkshire Weather because I feel it is my duty, my honor, and my pleasure to serve this community. I started Berkshire Weather to protect the community and I will continue to do so. I want to thank you all for your patience, kindness, and dedication to Berkshire Weather. I might be the one posting, but Berkshire Weather would be nothing without readers like you. Thank you…
Notes: For the curious creature living inside of me, I will be trying a different format today.
Monday: Today seems like it is going to be a partly cloudy day. If I had to guess, there will be at least some sun, but overall, likely more clouds. Temperatures will be much cooler, highs in the lower 70s, lows in the lower 50s. We will have West winds blowing between 10 to 20 mph, with gusts reaching the 30 mph mark. Scattered rain showers can be expected today and tonight. Once the showers pass, the clouds should decrease and the night sky should open up. Winds will still be similar to the day, but should calm a little.
Tuesday: I don’t like heat and I despise humidity. So, for those like me, tomorrow is not going to be a fun day. High temperatures will reach the mid 80s with lows dropping to only the mid 60s. Skies will be clear with lots of sun. However, due to the natural cycle of cloud formation, I would not be surprised to see some afternoon clouds sneak their way in. Winds of 5 to 10 mph during the day and night. Direction of tomorrows gentle air flow, will be from the West. The day will have a more Northwesterly wind, while the night will have more of a Southwesterly wind. Clouds begin to take the sky away again. I honestly think skies will be mostly cloudy tomorrow night.
Wednesday: I am going with the mostly cloudy vibe on Wednesday too. A little bit of sun, with a majority made up of clouds. Numerous rain showers, with scattered thunderstorms, will be the precipitation for Wednesday. Remember, please don’t be outside if you hear thunder or see lightning. Lightning can strike more than 20 miles away from a thunderstorm. For those who might have forgotten, thunder is caused by lightning. I care for your safety, so be aware of Wednesday’s hazards. The same bothersome weather can be expected Wednesday night. Highs in the mid 80s and lows in the lower 60s.
Ending: That’s about it everyone. I don’t like this format as much. Tomorrow I might try an updated older version or surprise you all by doing this one again. Though, it won’t be a surprise anymore. Funny me. Please don’t forget to like and comment on this post. Drink your water, take a stroll, and enjoy your day. See you all tomorrow. Cheers everyone!
