Welcome: Good morning. All of Berkshire County has flash flood watches in effect from 2:00 PM today until 2:00 PM tomorrow.

Today: Rainy.

Temperature: Highs in the upper 60s. Lows in the mid to upper 50s.

Wind: 5 mph, increasing to 10 to 15 mph.

Precipitation: Heavy rain, amounts of 2 to 3 inches tonight.

Air Quality: Good.

Tomorrow: Rainy to partly sunny.

Temperature: Highs in the lower 70s. Lows in the lower 50s.

Wind: 10 to 15, with gusts to 20.

Precipitation: Rain in the morning, amounts of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Air Quality: Good.

Day 3: Mostly sunny.

Temperature: Highs in the lower 70s. Lows in the lower 50s.

Wind: 5 to 10 mph.

Precipitation: None.

Next Week’s Forecast: Nothing major expected at the moment.

Temperature: At average.

Precipitation: Slightly above average.


Tropical Forecast: We have four areas to watch.

1. Tropical Depression Ida will impact our area today into tomorrow, it will bring heavy rain to the Northeast. It will then merge with a front and be swept away.

2. Tropical Depression Kate is in the middle of the Atlantic. It poses little threat, it will also slowly weaken.

3. Tropical Storm Larry is south of the Cabo Verde Islands. We must monitor where is goes to determine if it will make it to the US.

4. A broad area of low pressure is disorganized. It is in the Caribbean Sea. I give it a small chance of development.

Hazards Summary: Heavy rain will lead to flash flooding. The potential of flash flooding increases as you go south. In all 3 to 6 inches is expected, with isolated higher amounts.
