Welcome: Good morning. This will be a briefing-type post for tomorrow’s event. The event will be a wind chill event with dangerously low wind chills. I received a little less than half an inch of ice from yesterday’s storm. Ice, now mixed with snow, is everywhere. There is no traction to the ground. If your conditions are as bad as mine I recommend not going outside unless a true emergency…

Alert: Wind Chill Advisory in effect for all of Berkshire County from 12:00 AM tomorrow to 3:00 PM tomorrow.

Timing: As arctic air is ushered into the region temperatures will drop. If you mix this with wind, even light wind, this will create dangerously low wind chills. These wind chills will start late tonight and last through tomorrow night. They also will be during the day, and even though the sun will be out tomorrow it will be dangerously cold.

Precipitation: Not expected.

Wind: 5 to 15 mph, with gusts to 20 mph.

Wind Chill Temperatures: Lowest wind chill temperatures could range from negative 10 to negative 30.

Hazards Summary: You could get frostbite or even hypothermia in as little as 15 minutes if you are not wearing the protective clothing needed. You could get frostbite or hypothermia in as little as 30 minutes if you are wearing the proper clothing needed.

Snow Day Calculator: I give a 40% chance of a freeze day tomorrow.

Anything Else: I hope you all stay safe. Have an amazing day. I hope all goes your way. So let today be your very best day. Also, please don’t forget to comment or like, thank you.
