Welcome: Good morning. Today will be a briefing type post. I have not seen this format since autumn, I almost forgot about it, some of my much earlier subscribers may remember it because today we are dealing with a good old friend: Severe Thunderstorms…
Timing: This afternoon through tonight.
Amount Of Storms: Scattered normal thunderstorms with some isolated to widely scattered severe thunderstorms.
Tornados: Not expected.
Hail: Isolated small hail is possible. (Hail less than one inch in diameter.) Very isolated severe hail is possible. (Hail 1 inch in diameter or greater.)
Wind: Widely scattered severe wind gusts are possible. (Winds stronger than 58 mph.) Also some gusty non-severe winds are possible in any thunderstorm.
Flooding: In any thunderstorm there may always be: downpours.
Hazards Summary: Severe hail and/or severe wind could damage houses, trees, and cars. Lightning can hit you if you can hear thunder. Never go outside during a thunderstorm.
