Welcome: Good morning. Today will be a briefing-type post. I can not believe this is another under-achieving storm. It is shocking but I do believe what goes down must come up. So next winter I believe may be a bit friendly to snow lovers. However it is far to early to tell…
Alert: A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until noon today.
Timing: Right now it will either be raining, icing, or sleeting. If you are rain now, you may stay rain for the rest of the storm. If you are sleet you will likely turn to freezing rain very soon, and then once everyone is freezing rain, a gradual transition to plain rain is expected. All winter weather ends around noon today.
Snow: Not expected.
Sleet: Very isolated sleet is possible with little to no accumulation expected.
Freezing Rain: Scattered to widespread freezing rain is expected. Generally up to one tenth of an inch of ice is expected in total.
Thunder: Not expected.
Peak Wind: 10 to 20 mph, with gusts to 28 mph, coming from the East.
Blowing/Drifting Snow: Not expected.
Snow Day Calculator: 19% chance of a delay today.
Hazards Summary: It will be dangerous to travel during the ice. Sidewalks, driveways, and roads may all be slippery. An isolated power outage may occur. A few branches may break to due wind and ice.
Anything Else: I hope you all stay safe. Please comment and like, thank you. Have an amazing day. I hope all goes your way. So let today be your very best day. Cheers everyone!
