Welcome: Good morning. Today will be a briefing type post. This is because we have some severe weather expected tomorrow. Before we get to that let me quickly discuss today…
Today: Isolated thunderstorms and scattered rain showers are expected throughout the day and evening. Today will be in the upper 70s, with partly cloudy skies.
Timing: Tomorrow afternoon through tomorrow evening.
Amount Of Storms: Scattered to widespread normal thunderstorms are expected. Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms are possible.
Tornados: One or two tornados is not out of the realm of possibility.
Hail: Scattered small hail is possible. Isolated severe hail of 1-inch in diameter or greater is possible.
Wind: Scattered to widespread non severe wind gusts are possible. Scattered severe wind gusts of 58 mph or greater are also possible.
Flooding: Heavy rain is likely in most thunderstorms. Be prepared for isolated flooding in very wet areas.
Hazards Summary: Severe wind could damage houses, trees, and cars. Lightning can hit you if you can hear thunder. Never go outside during a thunderstorm. Hail can damage houses and cars. Tornados are serious, if a tornado warning is issued go to your basement or interior room away from windows.
Eclipse: There will be a Lunar Eclipse tonight through early tomorrow morning. However conditions will be mostly cloudy. The peak of the eclipse will be around or slightly after midnight early tomorrow morning. It begins 9:32 PM tonight and goes through 2:50 AM tomorrow.
