Greetings everyone. I had some energy today and wanted to use it wisely. I decided to share my thoughts on tomorrow’s storm. I will keep this all brief. Enjoy…

A Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect for Berkshire County, beginning 10:00 PM tonight (Monday) and going until 7:00 PM tomorrow evening (Tuesday).

A separate Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect for Bennington County, beginning 1:00 AM tomorrow (Tuesday) and going until 10:00 PM tomorrow night (Tuesday).

Snow will likely begin very early Tuesday morning for everyone. The snow will begin to end Tuesday night. Snow will be falling steadily late morning into the afternoon. Rates of 1/2 an inch per hour are expected.

I am expecting a solid 4 inches of snow. The low end seems to be 2 inches, but the high end seems to be 6 inches. Remember, look at both ends. The weather is unpredictable.

The Tuesday morning, afternoon, and possibly evening commutes will all be impacted. Slippery conditions are likely. I personally wonder if the snow will melt from the salt, but refreeze into ice due to the cold temperatures (mid 20s).

The snow will be light and fluffy. This means easy for the back and neck while shoveling. However, it also increases the risk of blowing and drifting snow. This is because, the snow is lighter and easier for the wind to move around.

I hope you all stay safe and be careful tomorrow. Let’s do our snow dances. Have a great night. Cheers everyone!
