Welcome: Good morning. Summer is moving away as fall moves in. Also today is the statistical peak of Hurricane Season. So hooray! We almost are done with hurricanes and can move on to snow storms. Enough of my rambling let’s get to the forecast… 

Today: Partly to mostly sunny. 

TEMPERATURE: Highs in the upper 60s. Lows in the upper 40s maybe even some mid 40s in the northernmost and highest terrain in the Berkshires.

WIND: 10 to 15 mph with gusts to 25 mph.

PRECIPITATION: None.

Tomorrow: Sunny.

TEMPERATURE: Highs in the low to mid 70s. Lows in the upper 50s.

WIND: 5 to 10 mph.

TEMPERATURE: Highs in the low 80s. Lows in the upper 50s.

TEMPERATURE: Far above average.

PRECIPITATION: Above average.

Tropical Forecast: We have three areas to watch. 

1. Hurricane Larry will be nearing southeastern Newfoundland. Larry will bring heavy rain, storm surge, and hurricane force winds to parts of Newfoundland. Then Larry will become subtropical or post-tropical. Dangerous rip currents and high waves will be along the Northeast coasts’ today.

2. The northern most part of a tropical wave is producing some showers and thunderstorms. It is currently over Honduras. I give it a medium chance of development. 

3. A strong tropical wave is expected to move off of Africa’s west coast. It will move towards the Cabo Verde Islands. I give it a high chance of development.
