Welcome: Good morning. We have some better weather moving in. We are watching to see if Hurricane Sam will impact the northeast. Right now it seems not that likely however if the key players come into alignment we could be dealing with a major hurricane in a week or more. I will keep you all updated on that as Sam gets closer. TEMPERATURE: Slightly above average.
PRECIPITATION: Average.
Tropical Forecast: We have four areas to watch.
1. Hurricane Sam is nearly a Category 3 Hurricane, or Major Hurricane. Sam will move very slowly near the Leeward Islands. Eventually it will either stay out to sea or near the US.
2. Subtropical Storm Teresa is northwest of Bermuda. It formed and now is weakening. Little impacts to the US.
3. The Remnants of Peter have disorganized showers and thunderstorms. This area is southwest of Bermuda. I give it a small chance of development.
4. A tropical wave will have a good environment for development. It currently is over Africa but will eventually move off of Africa. I give it a medium chance of development.
Notable Amounts: The storm total of the other day’s cold front was 2.30 inches or rain.
Anything to Mention: Have an amazing day.
