Welcome: Good morning. It is pretty windy at my house, also some heavier showers moved through, it seemed like my house was getting a car wash. I expect rain amounts in total to be up to an inch or two. We also need to watch for a potential wintry type storm at the end of next week, now let’s get down to the forecast…

Space Weather, limited to this event: A Strong Geomagnetic Storm Watch is in affect for today and tomorrow. It means pretty much that the Northern Lights or Aurora Borealis may be possible to see here tonight and tomorrow night. It would be amazing to see but with all the clouds I do not know if we will see it.

TEMPERATURE: Highs in the upper 50s. Lows in the upper 40s.

WIND: 15 to 20 mph, with gusts to 30 mph.

PRECIPITATION: Scattered to widespread showers throughout the day.

Tomorrow: Mostly cloudy.

TEMPERATURE: Highs in the lower 60s. Lows in the lower 40s.

WIND: 5 to 10 mph.

PRECIPITATION: Rain diminishing to showers and then to a drizzle.

Tropical Forecast: We have two areas to watch. 

1. A low pressure system is very strong. It is southeast of Newfoundland. I give it a medium chance of development.

2. Some showers and thunderstorms may develop. It is south of the Cabo Verde Islands. I give it a small chance of development.
