Welcome: Good morning. The storm is slightly stronger than expected. There are bands of heavier snow and in between the heavy snow, there is light snow. The Berkshires are in the lighter snow. Though I think a heavier band may be able to just make its way in. Also, today is a briefing-type post…
Alert: Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for all of Berkshire County until noon today.
Timing: Snow will be falling lightly to steadily until the afternoon where it should diminish away into some snow showers. Also later this morning stronger winds will start so blowing snow may also start and last through tonight.
Snow: Widespread snow is likely, I see 1 to 6 inches.
Sleet: Not expected.
Freezing Rain: Not expected.
Wind: 10 to 20 mph, with gusts to 35 mph.
Blowing Snow: Scattered blowing snow is possible.
Hazards Summary: Watch out for very slippery spots on almost everything. Isolated power outages are possible. Some whiteout conditions may occur.
Snow Day Calculator: I give a 54% chance of a delay, with a 51% chance of a snow day.
Anything Else: I hope you all stay safe. Please comment on what you see, thank you. Have an amazing day. I hope all goes your way. So let today be your very best day.
