Welcome: Good morning. This will be a briefing-type post. It seems every time a storm is predicted this winter it never occurs. We all need to hope for a classic nor’easter so we can finally have lots of fun fluffy snow to enjoy…

Alert: Wind Chill Advisory in effect for all of Berkshire County until 10:00 AM today.

Timing: Cold air has moved into the region. There is some light wind so it will feel very cold this morning. Tonight’s lows will drop into the negatives and it will get very cold again.

Precipitation: Not expected.

Wind: 5 to 10 mph.

Wind Chills: Lowest wind chills could range from negative 10 to negative 20.

Hazards Summary: It will be very cold today, especially this morning and tonight. Wear protective clothing even though the sun may be out. Be aware if precautions are not taken you could get frostbite or hypothermia in 30 minutes.

Snow Day Calculator: I give a 27% chance of a freeze delay today.

Anything Else: I hope you all stay safe. Have an amazing day. I hope all goes your way. So let today be your very best day. Also, please don’t forget to comment and like, thank you. We are hoping for the best and prepared for the worst.

  1. Thank you so much for your weather reports. We are in Florida for the winter with a home in the Berkshires. We need to keep an eye on the weather. Thank you.
