Welcome: Good morning. Today will be a briefing-type post for Tuesday night’s and Wednesday’s winter weather. I am watching this closely as a potential for freezing rain now exists. No matter what the outcome is, be extremely cautious tomorrow night and all of Wednesday…
Alert: None.
Timing: Currently the storm is expected to start tomorrow evening as snow and/or freezing rain. As we head later into the night a transition to full snow is expected. Then as we reach Wednesday morning a transition to a wintry mix of precipitation will occur. It will stay as a wintry mix until diminishing Wednesday night.
Temperature During The Storm: Highs could reach the upper 30s and lows could drop to the mid 20s.
Snow: Widespread snow showers are likely through the whole event. I expect 1 to 3 inches of snow in total.
Sleet: Isolated sleet will be possible during the day on Wednesday.
Freezing Rain: Scattered freezing rain will be possible throughout the event. I expect up to 1 tenth of an inch (1/10 or 0.1) of ice possible.
Rain: Widespread rain showers will likely be mixed in on Wednesday.
Thunder: Not expected.
Peak Wind: 5 to 10 mph. Coming from the North Northeast.
Blowing/Drifting Snow: Not expected.
Snow Day Calculator: 24% chance of a delay Wednesday morning.
Hazards Summary: You should be extremely cautious while driving. Roads will be slippery.
Anything Else: I hope you all stay safe. Please comment and like. Thank you. Have an amazing day. I hope all goes your way. So let today be your very best day. Cheers everyone!
