Welcome: Good morning. So far roughly 4 inches of snow has fallen at my house. I expect more snow to fall throughout the day. Snow amounts are likely to be higher across the area, as heavier snow bands have developed…

Alert: A Winter Storm Warning is in effect, for Northern Berkshire County (Pittsfield and north) and Bennington County, going until 5:00 PM today.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect, for Southern Berkshire County (Lenox and south), until 5:00 PM today.

A Snow Emergency is in effect for Pittsfield, going until 7:00 AM tomorrow.

Timing: Snow will be falling for most. It will likely fall heavily at times. Some rain or sleet could mix in for areas south of Pittsfield. Everyone should end as snow around this evening. By tonight the storm is done.

Snow: Widespread snow is likely. For Southern Berkshire County I expect 4 to 8 inches in total. For Northern Berkshire County and Bennington County, I expect 6 to 12 inches inches in total.

Sleet: Some sleet could mix in.

Freezing Rain: Not expected.

Rain: Some rain could mix in.

Thunder: Not expected.

Peak Wind: 10 to 20 mph, with gusts to 30 mph. Coming from the North Northwest.

Blowing/Drifting Snow: Not expected.
