Welcome: Good morning. We have a broad area of low pressure off the Mid Atlantic coast trying to develop into a tropical or subtropical system, we also are watching a cold front that will move through the region next week. 1. The Remnants of Nicholas have weakened a lot. A widespread 1 to 2 inches is still possible in the Southeast to Gulf Coast. Little threat remains.

2. A broad area of low pressure is producing some disorganized shower and thunderstorm activity. It is off the coast of North Carolina. I give it a high chance of development.

3. A tropical wave and broad area of low pressure are producing disorganized shower and thunderstorm activity. This system is over 1000 miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands. I give it a high chance of development.

4. A tropical wave is producing disorganized showers and cloudiness. This wave is southeast of the Cabo Verde Islands. I give it a small chance of development.

Notable Amounts: 1.50 inches of rain from Wednesday’s thunderstorms.

2. A tropical wave is producing disorganized thunderstorms. It is southeast of the Cabo Verde Islands. I give it a high chance of development.

3. An area of low pressure should form due to the interaction between an upper level trough and tropical wave. It will move north of the Bahamas. I give it a medium chance of development.

Notable Amounts: None.

Anything to Mention: Have an amazing day.

Monday/September/13/2021

Welcome: Good morning. Last night the MCS or Mesoscale Convective System weakened faster than some meteorologists and myself thought it would. I know that some places still did get heavy rain in the Berkshires. Remember just because you may not get hit by storms regularly, you can still get hit by storms eventually. Now into the forecast we go.

Today: Turning sunny.

TEMPERATURE: Highs in the low to mid 70s. Lows in the low to mid 50s.

WIND: 5 to 10 mph.

PRECIPITATION: A very isolated shower is possible.

AIR QUALITY: Good.

HAZARDS SUMMARY: None.

Tomorrow: Partly sunny.

TEMPERATURE: Highs in the mid 70s. Lows in the lower 60s.

WIND: 5 mph, with gusts to 10 mph.

PRECIPITATION: None.

AIR QUALITY: Good.

HAZARDS SUMMARY: None.

Day 3: Partly cloudy.

TEMPERATURE: Highs in the lower 80s. Lows in the upper 50s.

WIND: 5 mph.

PRECIPITATION: Widespread thunderstorms, scattered severe thunderstorms in the afternoon.

HAZARDS SUMMARY: Lightning, heavy rain, and severe wind gusts.

6 To 10 Day Forecast: Read Below.

TEMPERATURE: Far above average.

PRECIPITATION: Below average.

Tropical Forecast: We have three areas to watch.

1. Tropical Storm Nicholas formed near Texas and Mexico. It will bring rains of up to 15 inches, and winds of tropical storm force. It will then move inland through Texas into Louisiana.

2. A tropical wave will move off of Africa today. It will move west, and be south of the Cabo Verde Islands. I give it a high chance of development.

3. An area of low pressure should for near the Bahamas. It will move north. I give it a medium chance of development.

Notable Amounts: I got 0.21 of an inch of rain from yesterday’s storms.

Anything to Mention: Have an amazing day.

Sunday/September/12/2021

Welcome: Good morning. We have a severe thunderstorm risk today, a possible area of tropical development that may affect us, and another risk of severe weather on Wednesday. But it is to far out to get into Wednesday just yet.

Timing: Today in the afternoon, and early evening.

Amount Of Thunderstorms: Isolated to scattered severe and non-severe thunderstorms today.

Tornados: An isolated tornado may be possible in the southwestern most parts of Berkshire County.

Hail: Small hail will be scattered. Severe hail of 1 inch in diameter or greater will be isolated.

Wind: Isolated to scattered severe wind gusts of 58 mph or greater. Gusty winds of under severe criteria may also be possible in any thunderstorm.

Flooding: Isolated flash flooding possible.

Tropical Info: An area of of low pressure will form near the Bahamas. It will then move northwest. The key questions is a cold front will be moving in and how far south this cold front will go before moving away. If it does not bring the area of low pressure with it out to sea, we may have to watch the area to see if it develops into a tropical system. I give it a medium chance to develop.

Anything Else: Have an amazing day.

Saturday/September/11/2021

Welcome: Good evening, we have a severe thunderstorm risk for tomorrow.

Timing: Tomorrow afternoon.

Amount Of Thunderstorms: Numerous basic thunderstorms, with lots of cloud to ground lightning. Isolated to widely scattered severe thunderstorms possible.

Tornados: 1 or 2 very weak tornados possible.

Hail: Small hail will be scattered. Severe hail of 1 inch in diameter or greater will be isolated.

Wind: Isolated severe wind gusts of 58 mph or greater.

Flooding: Isolated flash flooding possible.

Anything Else: This severe event will be more isolated than numerous, it will be likely to see thunderstorms but less likely to see severe thunderstorms tomorrow. Be careful. Have a good night.
