Welcome: Good morning. This will be a briefing-type post for tomorrow’s event. The event will be a wind chill event with dangerously low wind chills. I received a little less than half an inch of ice from yesterday’s storm. Ice, now mixed with snow, is everywhere. There is no traction to the ground. If your conditions are as bad as mine I recommend not going outside unless a true emergency…

Alert: Wind Chill Advisory in effect for all of Berkshire County from 12:00 AM tomorrow to 3:00 PM tomorrow.

Timing: As arctic air is ushered into the region temperatures will drop. If you mix this with wind, even light wind, this will create dangerously low wind chills. These wind chills will start late tonight and last through tomorrow night. They also will be during the day, and even though the sun will be out tomorrow it will be dangerously cold.

Precipitation: Not expected.

Wind: 5 to 15 mph, with gusts to 20 mph.

Wind Chill Temperatures: Lowest wind chill temperatures could range from negative 10 to negative 30.

Timing: Sleet and freezing rain this morning could transition to either sleet, rain, freezing rain, or snow this afternoon. Finally tonight some rain or snow showers will be possible.

Snow: Scattered snow is expected, I see up to an inch in accumulation.

Sleet: Scattered to widespread sleet is expected, I see around a coating or a little more in accumulation.

Freezing Rain: Widespread freezing rain is expected, I see between a tenth and three-tenths of an inch, though I can not rule out some half an inch amounts in accumulation.

Wind: 15 to 20 mph, with gusts to 45 mph.

Blowing Snow: Isolated blowing snow is expected.

Alert: Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for all of Berkshire County from 5:00 AM tomorrow to 7:00 PM tomorrow.

Timing: Sleet will start very late tonight. Next, tomorrow morning some will have a mix of sleet and freezing rain in the morning while others will see just freezing rain. Then tomorrow afternoon could have a mix of snow, rain, sleet, and freezing rain. Finally, tomorrow night will end with some rain or snow showers.

Snow: Scattered snow is possible, I see a coating to 1 inch possible.

Sleet: Scattered to widespread sleet is possible, I see a coating or a little more possible.

Timing: Snow will be falling lightly to steadily until the afternoon where it should diminish away into some snow showers. Also later this morning stronger winds will start so blowing snow may also start and last through tonight.

Snow: Widespread snow is likely, I see 1 to 6 inches.

Timing: Snow will start late tonight, its peak intensity should be during the morning commute, then snow will turn to snow showers while gradually ending in the afternoon.

Snow: Widespread snow is likely. Generally, I see 2 to 6 inches. Depending on the track and strength we could see less or more.

Sleet: Not expected.

Freezing Rain: Not expected.

Wind: In the late morning winds will pick up to be 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.
