Alert: Wind Chill Advisory in effect for all of Berkshire County until 10:00 AM today.

Timing: Cold air has moved into the region. There is some light wind so it will feel very cold this morning. Tonight’s lows will drop into the negatives and it will get very cold again.

Precipitation: Not expected.

Wind: 5 to 10 mph.

Wind Chills: Lowest wind chills could range from negative 10 to negative 20.

Hazards Summary: It will be very cold today, especially this morning and tonight. Wear protective clothing even though the sun may be out. Be aware if precautions are not taken you could get frostbite or hypothermia in 30 minutes.

Alert: Wind Chill Advisory in effect for all of Berkshire County from 7:00 PM tonight to 10:00 AM tomorrow.

Timing: An arctic cold front will move through today. It will bring very cold and potentially dangerous wind chills from tonight through tomorrow late morning or afternoon. At that time it may be less dangerous but still extremely cold. Finally in the late tomorrow afternoon through Saturday morning, another dangerously cold period is expected.

Precipitation: Not expected.

Wind: 5 to 10 mph, with gusts to 15 mph.

Wind Chills: Lowest wind chills could range from negative 15 to negative 35.

Hazards Summary: If you do not have to go outside tomorrow that would be ideal. Even though it will be sunny it will be dangerously cold at times. Hypothermia and frostbite will be possible in as little as 30 minutes.

Snow Day Calculator: I give a 57% chance of a freeze day or delay tomorrow.

Alert: Winter Storm Warning in effect for all of Berkshire County until 10:00 PM tonight.

Timing: Right now it should be windy with snow or a wintry mix for high elevations. However for lower elevations it should be breezy with a wintey mix or plain rain. This afternoon and tonight should turn back to snow and it may fall steadily at times before ending tomorrow morning.

Snow: Widespread snow is expected. You can generally expect 4 to 12 inches in all, maybe less or more depending on your elevation and location.

Sleet: Scattered sleet is expected, sleet accumulations are added into snow accumulation.

Freezing Rain: Scattered freezing rain is expected, I see up to a few hundredths of an inch possible in all.

Wind: 20 to 35 mph, with gusts to 55 mph, expect winds that are on the weaker end of this if you live in lower terrain.

Blowing Snow: Scattered blowing snow is expected.

Hazards Summary: It will be dangerous to travel. Whiteout conditions are expected in a few spots. A few power outages may also occur. Tree branches may break.

Alert: Winter Storm Warning in effect for all of Berkshire County from 10:00 PM tonight to 10:00 PM tomorrow night.

Timing: Everyone should start as heavy snow tonight. Next tomorrow morning and afternoon will cause varying weather for different places. The higher terrain means the stronger the winds and the more snow you will have. For lower terrain expect weaker winds and less snow.

Snow: Widespread snow is expected. You can generally expect 4 to 12 inches. Some higher amounts may occur in higher terrain.

Sleet: Scattered to widespread sleet is expected, sleet accumulations are part of snow accumulations.

Freezing Rain: Scattered to widespread freezing rain is expected, I see up to a tenth of an inch in accumulation.

Wind: 20 to 40 mph, with gusts to 60 mph, expect winds that are on the weaker end of this if you live in lower terrain.

Blowing Snow: Widespread blowing snow is expected.

Hazards Summary: It will be dangerous to travel, especially tomorrow morning. Whiteout conditions are expected in some spots. Power outages may also occur. Tree branches may break.

Alert: Winter Storm Watch in effect for all of Berkshire County from 10:00 PM tomorrow to 10:00 PM Monday.

Timing: Everyone should start as heavy snow late tomorrow night but then Monday morning could turn some to a wintry mix or plain rain while others may stay as snow. It will gradually come to an end Monday night or early Tuesday morning as snow.

Snow: Widespread snow is expected. 3 to 12 inches is what I believe. With maybe more or less depending on the storm track.

Sleet: Scattered to widespread sleet is expected, I see up to a coating possible.

Freezing Rain: Scattered to widespread freezing rain is expected, I see up to a tenth of an inch possible.

Wind: 25 to 35 mph, with gusts to 65 mph in the high terrain. 15 to 25 mph, with gusts to 35 mph in the lower terrain.

Blowing Snow: Widespread blowing snow is expected.

Hazards Summary: It will be dangerous to travel. Whiteout conditions are possible. Power outages may also occur.
